Im in charge of pudding. I'm thinking of trying to make Jamie Oliver's Banoffee Baked Alaska.

Have to have a Christmas pudding too.

Wondered what other desserts everyone has as I'm open to ideas.

An alternative sherry trifle.

Replace the sherry with Southern Comfort and use orange or lemon jelly with fruit to suit.Trust me it's delicious.

When I was a kid I was alsways too full for dessert at Christmas, but I would always save room for the Christmas Log cake, or whatever it's name is.

The one we used to buy had sweets and cookies all over it in the shapes of leaves and other nature stuff. It was yummy.

Delia Smith's chocolate truffle torte .... dead easy to make, very rich so serves a big group - tastes amazing. Or I sometimes make Nigeria Lawson's extremely squidgy dark chocolate and cherry brownies and serve those with vanilla ice cream.
