Who else hates sitting in waiting for parcels. This is the third day of doing it and not one has arrived before 4pm. Is it too much to ask for them to be delivered in a morning.

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

No worries for me, if I miss a delivery the pick up point is only a 2 minute walk across the road

by the big field

You get your 9am's 10am's, 12pm's and then everything else is done to fit round those and the rest of the route. If you've not paid for a timed service, you're basically in a 12hr delivery window- if you're lucky, you might get one of the courier companies that will give you a time slot- otherwise.....

My Hermes driver is working 6am until 9pm Monday to Friday and also goes out Saturday and Sunday.

He says that he's seen nothing like it.

Pay the premium for a timed service.

Otherwise you takes you number in line according to the drivers crib sheet.

Quite recently it seems like if you don't answer th door the second they ring the doorbell, they just assume you're not home

What you have to bear in mind is that most multidrop driver can have as many as 200+ stops. If they waited 5 minutes at every door, they'd deliver half of their allocation.

The wife works in courier logistics so I've seen the rough deals the drivers get on routes, and the pressures from higher ups to deliver more and more in a single day.
