It would, especially as she is the professional who did the first documentary thing years ago with ordinary people which led to Strictly being developed a few years later.

And how much lower the budget was in the beginning.

I read something in the week that more young people tuned in to Strictly last week than to the X Factor Final. The young people were also opting for Planet Earth II instead of X Factor.

This is where I think the BBC have missed a trick. They need one more it takes two so they can talk to them all properly after it has all sunk in.

It always a little rushed and unfair for the winners I think.

Poor joanne was to shocked to talk and all ore can do is cry.

If they gave it time to sink in then had them on even if they did it like the results show on Sundays, I feel it would be a much better end to the series.

And the can't even cover it on the Xmas special as that was recorded weeks ago

I hope not. That wasn't said about Louis Smith, Alesha Dixon or Mark Ramprakash. Ore was better than Ramprakash and I think I'd need to see Smith and Dixon's finals again to see how he stands up to them.

They did used to leave the final dance for the final two with one being knocked out. I don't think it would have made a difference though.

I thought it was a dead heat tbh, with Danny being consistently the best throughout what I saw of the series, & Ore being phenomenal as a non-trained dancer.

Perhaps Danny's partner should have been the difference between them ........... but I am a little biased!

Ore,Sas the best on the night and also pulled at the heartstrings throughout. His journey taps into the aspirations of many of us, it was a completely deserved win. The fix would have been if Danny had won.

Loved the final and so pleased that Ore won. He has worked so hard and was a total amateur, at the beginning. All of his dances were spot on, last night. I felt Louise's first two dances were lack lustre, but loved her Argentine tango. Danny is a fantastic dancer, but I felt he shouldn't win, as he has had previous training and experience, but i'm sure he will go on to do more in musical theatre. I understand Craig has already been looking at him for one of his shows, so good luck to him so what we going to do on a Saturday night now!

Yes, it's been a great thread! It's nice to chat with people with a similar interest. Will be interesting to see who replaces Len. He is very much 'old school' in the dance world. I would personally like to see Anton replace him. He's a great entertainer and I think he will be a very fair and constructive judge.
