Sitting at home doing a advanced drug's course for work ,I have to get 100% to pass ,any body else having to do a course for work

a quandary, could you change my mind?

A crash course just over 17 months ago. A two year full-time course with an additional year course thrown in too All condensed into 5 weeks!.

I frequently do training courses for work. Some are mandatory others are just helpful or interesting.

Yep, I have to do them all the time. Half the time they're useful, half the time I lose the will to live just reading the prep material but grin and bear them anyway. The second half tend to be the mandatory ones that have to be done regardless of prior knowledge or experience.

Not for work but I've signed up to and never yet managed to complete lots of MOOCs. For those who don't know a MOOC is a massive open online course... There are literally hundreds you can enroll on for free with Coursera or Futurelearn. I think Amazon are trying to get in on the scene too.

Hard to stay engaged though.. Probably cos its free and not compulsory to complete! Talk about wasted opportunities!

The Open University also have hundreds of free courses available to anyone .. check out their website

It's a few years since I had to do a formal course for work but I did 3 years doing my professional qualifications alongside working. I miss it, actually. I like exams.

I've done a few. Without exceptiomn they have all been pointless, box-ticking exercises.

I was very fond of my first boss, who was kind of old school. If we had new legislature/regs come in, he'd just print them off/make me aware of the mand ask mew to go away and read, understand and inwardly digest them.

I don't get many compulsory courses but those I do are tick box courses but I have to do a certain amount of hours every year to prove continual professional development in order to maintain my registration to practice. It's pretty pointless really because all the real learning comes from the hands on work stuff not sat in a room being spouted at

Have to agree with that. Unfortunately red tape says otherwise

I'm doing my level 3 nvq in health and social care with emphasis on head injuries and autism for work.

Funnily enough, I'm also doing a personal training course with a view to changing careers.
