God that a hard one for us both.

E would be Seether and The Used.

M would be Green Day, Coheed and Cambria and Bullet For My Valentine.

But we both have a massive soft spot for early Paramore (my God Hayley Williams )

We saw them a few years ago and they were amazing. Was going to go for our 10th anniversary bit they sold in minutes (was very pissed off and the hotel heard alot of swearing) and I'm not paying the stupid rates there going for

If you're talking band that I have seen the most and have followed for 35 plus years then it would be Madness.

If you're talking band I currently listen to the most then it would probably be Biffy Clyro or Green Day or maybe Muse

Huey Lewis and the News

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

The Beach Boys

Brian Wilson's songwriting and arrangements were extraordinary between 1965-1973.

Don't think anyone's matched his talents in popular music then or since. Those harmonies, man!

Other members of the band, like Dennis Wilson and Brian Johnston wrote gorgeous songs in that period too.

Always a tough one this, I'd say probably James for me, but I'm a huge fan of anything early 90's from that indie era. Carter, neds, PWEI, blur and oasis. But then I start to think about the ska influences I listed to as a kid, madness, specials, the beat, selector. Then it's easy for me to move into reggae influences Bob marley, UB40.

I did say this was a tough one!!

Then I think how can I leave out earlier influences like the who and the jam.

I'm not even gonna start on modern day bands or I will be here a week lol !!
