Manchester

I've suffered with it since being young. Mine you it doesn't help constantly changing from days to nights. You'd think after 18 years my body would be used to it but no.

Ouch, sounds hard. Mrs did shift work for 3 years and we struggled with it.

And yes I've had insomnia since I was a teenager.

Sounds like the same club I'm in although don't do shift work...I'm lucky if I can sleep 4 hours at a time. I can be falling asleep in the evening and if I try an early.night say 10.00 I'm. Up and awake by 2 generally..

Does that happen a lot? When that happens to me it's usually an anxiety thing.

Happens all the time..existed for years on about 4 hours a night...not really anxious about anything..and worse if I do manage to get back to sleep wake up after maybe another hour and have a pounding head ache all day

Ah OK, do you manage to function OK on 4 hours sleep? Have heard of research into this and with some people it's possibly genetic.

That is interesting, have encountered people like yourself before.

I have bouts of insomnia but struggle to function properly with less than 7 hours. I'm envious lol.
