where I suggested the ladies use the filters to prevent messages, and then search themselves ..

are you proactive or reactive..

I've no filters being a single male I have little need of them, I'm both reactive and proactive... I do look from time to time and answer those mails and winks from those within within my preferences..

A combination. My first ever meet was entirely down to me being proactive and messaging outside my filters and looking for parameters. I have also had excellent meets with those I reacted to initially. It's my choice to react though, which might mean I am proactive in my reaction.

I'm proactive every now and then, but if I'm trawling through profiles for too long, the never ending stream of rejection and deleted messages gets a bit much! So I don't go hunting that often.

Every now and then someone will drop me a line unprompted, and those are usually the ones that actually lead somewhere.

I'm a bloke ... It'shought it common knowledge we only look at the pretty pictures ..

I operate similar to ladies I often read the profile of folk contacting me before the message is read.

On that basis, why can't they supply pretty pictures for me to look at? And no, a cock is not something that is going to entice me to message them, as they normally seem to be attached to an even bigger cock

We started out as very much proactive but as newbies walked straight into a few of the fakes which rather took the gloss off the whole thing for a while, we are rarely proactive now & would have to say we suffer from "Wanting to be wanted" if you like as so many offhand rejections in the early days really were nearly the end of it for H.

So we rarely make first contact even when playing "I really fancy you" usually contact comes elsewhere via the forum & I wish H would take more of an active role in here as I think We would be better received but unlike me she is still addicted to Facebook.

The good part about using the forums this way is you already know a little more about the person than just their profile & in general know that they can chat..A few still go quiet as do we on occasion mainly if there's little talk of an imminent meet on the horizon as at the end of the day that is why we are here & we've learnt not to chat for weeks on end as a meet may never happen anyway. Just the odd check in message is enough for us as we'd much rather meet & chat in person anyway..
