L.E.E. isn't that a life extinction event?

There's been several over the years and there will be another. A biggie was the one that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago and wiped out 75% of life but there was one before that wiped out 95% of life.

Apparently theyre investing in safety measures regarding possible objects that could end all life on earth, they think it may take 2 to 2 1/2 years for the next possible object that could impact earth to be noticable, lets face it we are not prepared and going by media etc we have not yet before began to prepare

That's misnomer, the one we suspect wiped out the dinosaurs is the one that created the Mexican gulf, the fire ball wiped out only about 15% , it was the loss of habitat over decades afterwards due to the dust in the atmosphere that wiped out the rest....

Tin is a completely different metal.

It's like that line in the B-52's Love Shack 'Tin Roof, rusted'

Only Iron rusts (OK Steel too - but that's because it contains Iron)

The big one arrives 2036. As yet there's no data on if it will hit earth but it will get so close that it will pass between the earth and obital satellites. Let's put this into context. The last big scare which had all the world's professionals flapping was a rock half this size that flew between the earth and the moon.

The problem is if it does miss earth. The gravity of earth will pull it into a different orbit which makes it very highly likely to strike earth at a later date.

Trust me when I say this. If nasa asks people to do something then do it. They are the smartest people with somr of the worlds most expensive tools. They are the world's orthority on space and dangers from it.

An object that size will almost kill everthing on earth.

Lol you can see them on a telescope.... Fuck all you need to do is look up at night you can see them with your eyes. There like big bright things that twinkle, makes them quite easy to track unlike comets and meteorites which are usually dark and hard to see, have random orbits and are thrown out of their orbits easily by other bigger objects like stars!

I don't know if your older enough to remember hale bopp in the late 90s but that was a pretty bright little fucker for about 12 months in the night sky, it actually didn't come that close but the quirky thing is it was two amateurs that discovered it only a couple of years before it arrived...

In terms of finding the things... Well it's like trying to find a particular grain of sand on a fucking big beach... Having said that there's an awful lot of them out there, the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter(I think) holds millions and millions of them in an orbit around the sun... However occasionally they bump into one another and whammo ones heading our way
