Am I an exception on here to say its ok to someone if they say I am not there type? Don't get me wrong it hurts occasionally but I don't mind people being honest.

I don't see it as a rejection, more like a preference thing. We can't appeal to everyone, so no, I don't get offended... As long as it's polite

Better to be honest with a short reply than be ignored.

No one likes rejection but we have to expect it and a success will be a bonus and will restore the faith.

Definitely, as long as it's in a respectful way. Saying "you're not my type" is exactly what we would like to hear. We don't find it upsetting as not everyone is compatible. That's the joys of swinging! Xx

It's much easier if you know where you stand. I prefer the straightforward, polite rejection. I get a fair bit of rejection on here and the string it out, skirt around the edges type just make me cross in the end.

Yeah the stringing out is painful but I made this feed as a woman has been talking to me for nearly a month and seen pictures of me but then before a meet she says "forget it your too ugly for me I don't do charity"

Yes getting ghosted or strung along can be frustrating.

I'm not talking about ignoring initial messages, that's perfectly fine.

I'm referring to people who are all enthusiastic and then just go all cold/quiet suddenly, or have endless excuses for not meeting.

One of the main problems I find is you start chatting to someone and it becomes a bit time consuming. If someone is sending me lots of messages, I naturally distance myself from them. Or life, life gets in the way and then before you know it, you're getting called a time waster.

Rejection's tough though. I can't imagine what it's like for guys on here.

I would prefer to be told "no" and ideally given a reason than to be ignored after my initial message. I know its not a mortal sin to not respond, but at least we could improve profile/initial messages to hopefully get more meets.

I'm guilty of this too. They want to take up all of your time, it can get a bit stressful. Especially when you have about 7 messages in a row off them, getting increasingly more miffed that you are 'ignoring them', because you've been busy in the forims. I come on here for light relief, not for drama. So I have distanced myself sometimes.

You're right, it is stressful. Personally, if I messaged someone and didn't get a reply, I'd leave it.

Some people like to conclude potential meet discussions with a no thanks. But a no reply or a block means the same thing.

Message management and some abuse means you should adjust your expectations accordingly - don't expect replies and explanations.

Try adding a few pics, they don't have to be face or nude. Think a lot of people are put off by photoless profiles.
