Never really bothered me. I meet locals and go down a club a few miles down the road.

That said, it's certainly different (or at least less risky) for men.

I travel a lot with work and thought it would be perfect but then you get people thinking you must be cheating as staying in a hotel or they don't meet people visiting the area even though I am there every few weeks.

Thought socials would be ideal to see if we click for the next time

I rarely find what I am looking for locally - sadly anything North of the River or in West London is a total pain to get to, so doesn't really count as local for me - I'd rather drive more miles along the motorway.
