Middle Earth

How frustrating is it when someone you feel some synergy with randomly blocks you for no reason and you don't ever get the chance to ask why??

Fully get it if you're over stepping things etc but when it happens for no reason?? Bah Hunbug!! Your thoughts?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My thoughts, in no particular order:

Let it go

They're not interested in you

Let it go

It's their choice

Read the 2,000 other threads making the same complaint

Why would you be interested in pursuing someone who isn't interested in hearing from you?

Just because you're interested doesn't mean they are

They don't want you to explain anything

Ah, diddums... it's so sad and frustrating

Hey...,I wasnt sulking or having a meltdown etc or that bothered, I agree if they're not interested move on but some good chat that seems to be progressing nicely moves into a blocking...I'm the type who likes to know the ins and outs ....it's called learning from situations presented to you!?

Good reply though..

Everything after "let it go!" superfluous. Then again you have to labour the point to the entitled!

You're assuming something that triggers a block from one person will apply to all?!!

Central

There are always reasons - but they're private and personal to the other party.

Don't take things personally - people are here for no strings fun and will have life circumstances and their own backgrounds behind their actions.

It can be much simpler and cleaner to not explain why they're not continuing dialogue. This is facilitated by blocking.

It's a core part of fab and it's important to deal with your reaction to it.

It never happens for no reason. It may just be that you never learn or understand the reason.

Oh yawn. I often block people simply because I'm bored of them. Happens a lot. I don't want to waste my time with polite chit chat when I know I'm not going to meet them. Even more don't want to waste my time explaining and having to go back and forth when they push.

Block button is there for a reason and I'm grateful for it.

If it bother you so much and you really need to know why

That is what to do

Creat a new account and ask them, as in the new account you won't be blocked by them so now you can ask why, in the other hand they might block you again

We say ignore them and move on, people are people what ever you do abd the find the good and the bad and many ugly

I always block if someone is boring me it saves the endless messages and sends a clear message ok it's a bit rude but it does give a clear message. What more could you want to know they block you because they don't see things going further it's simple x

I also know that sometimes people on here can be too nice and continue conversations to be polite. The other person is oblivious since the conversation was apparently flowing. Blocking probably makes them feel awful in that case but after a while it seems the only option if they don't want to flat out tell the other person it wasn't going as well as they thought. That's another avenue of fab logic.
