"As the title says, how long can you pass it off as just not feeling great. People are beginning to notice a change in me outside and inside work and I can't keep brushing it off much longer I can't help but feel sad a lot now but I've no idea why. I stopped seeing a girl a couple of months back but it's not her as I don't miss or think off her nearly as much as I did, plus I was feeling down quite a lot long before she came on the scene If this is in the wrong section the feel free to move or delete. I'm usually the livewire on nights out and stuff Can I also ask is depression and anxiety the same thing?" There was a meme a little while ago asking, What does depression look like? When you flicked to the image it was a wall of smiles. Most people don't think of me as someone with depression or someone who could become depressed. When you feel a little better you should consider opening up. You might be nicely surprised at the response. Carrying around the burden of keeping yourself a secret is hard and drags you down as all burdens do. | |||

I ad a lot going on with my knee at the time, an was at the doctors seeing the nurse an when I was in room I just burst into tears, an this was 6m onths after November! Anyways eventually got help an I'm now on meds an speak to the lady once a fortnight! As I'm still struggling! So get help when u feel up to it tell ur friends, mayb a close friend or family! ![]() ![]() | |||

I know it sounds daft" It's good you haven't felt suicidal. Not everyone with depression feels suicidal. You have to work out whether you are having a reaction to something, a blue period or depression. | |||

Depression for me is like a broken bone that hasn't healed properly, it keeps coming back to bother me but I just sort of get on with it. But anxiety I hate more, it's far more debilitating. | |||
