Not sure if this counts but years ago my brother went to see Saint Eteinne (member them?) and Pulp were their supporting act.

Pulp were apparently far better.

He's a fantastic jazz drummer too; did an amazing re-imagining of Bowie's 'Heroes' and 'Low' albums a couple of years ago.

They are indeed...bassist Norman Watt-Roy depped with Madness a few times when Bedders took a break a few years back...met Norman a while ago, lovely bloke.

Wasn't it also rumoured, but never confirmed, that the Blockheads were actually the sound of Franke Goes To Hollywood, certainly for Relax if not more?

The Oasis gig at the old Wembley stadium was supported by The Happy Mondays. One of the best bands and crowd pleasers that got the whole stadium going. As for Oasis? Meh! Liam mumbled a lot of stroppy diatribe and it was pretty soulless. I'd have happily watched The warmup act all over again instead

Only walked out of one gig early after a few songs of the main act once

Black Stone Cherry were the main support at an Alterbridge gig and were so much better that all of the group(16 of us) wanted to leave after a couple of alterbridge songs

Many moons ago I went to see Eminem at the MK Bowl, 50cent blew out & was replaced by Cypress Hill for the UK dates. They were at a different level than Eminem who putting it bluntly was shit..

To add insult to injury S was spitting feathers as he's a big Cypress Hill fan but couldn't go due to being away with work.

Stereo Mc's were better than Happy Mondays but only because it was the twilight years and shaun had forgotten most of the lyrics lol

Calvin Harris blew the doors off Manchester Arena and after that Tiesto seemed bit of a let down

Years ago when Travis were unheard of supporting Oasis when I saw them in Newcastle, apart from the bit when Noel just sat on the stage for half an hour on his own with his guitar. Thought they would do good things.
