Face pic arguments .. really

If your profile says don't message without sending a face pic your profile should have a face pic on it, same as if you ask for a face pic send one, too much of sending a photo and the convo ending there makes me think how weird. Not everyone wants there face on there profile but is only fair if your asking for one make yours available too, am I wrong?

You do know you don't have to send a photo if someone asks for it right?

The conversations have ended because they've seen the pic' and have decided they don't fancy you and there's no point in sending you a pic' back.

Sometimes my face is public , sometimes it's not . I ask for a face pic to be sent because if there's no physical attraction then it's a pointless conversation and a waste of both of our time. If people don't send one I simply don't reply

It doesn't have to be visible on their profile for all to see. Mine isn't and never will be.

Facial attraction is important to me, and I don't like having to say not for me after speaking a while, and we swap face pics.

There are also some spiteful people on here who would cause trouble if you turn them down.

If a profile says don't message without a face pic, we don't message. If someone asks for a face pic unless we know we're likely to meet we don't send one.

I think the point people are making is that anybody can ask for anything but you don't have to comply.

This advice is brought to you by people who sent a face picture to a single guy who promptly deleted his account

Got F.A to do with fair if that is the condition then take it or leave it. Couples and women can afford to be picky on here and often are for their own and therefor good reasons. we only share face pic if we see one first AND want to meet.

I've had my face on public pics many times over the years - and every time it's been used to 'out' me - even with just lower face on show!

Ergo I still ask for a face pic when guys message me - but similarly if I message a guy for the first time I tend to send a face pic with my message!

Facial attraction is important to me though so if we're talking about meeting and their face doesn't appeal then it's no dice I'm afraid! Xx

I've had men send a face pic with a first message and then, when I've said no thank you, have been asked to send mine anyway. What's the point, we aren't going to meet?

I've seen men requesting a face pic with an initial message, saying no pic, message deleted. If I did message those men, I'd attach a pic.

If a profile says 'send a face pic with first message' then the owners of that profile should be prepared to do the same if it is them initiating first message. But you cannot expect people to have a visible face pic on their profile for just anybody to see. A public face pic is NOT fairly comparable to to sending a face pic privately.

You didn't read what I said properly, if you can send a message asking for a facepic attach your own to that message, that's all. If your profile reads don't message without facepic, have one on your profile. Nothing daft there

Yes that's a good point. We actually never ask for face pics though in order to avoid this problem. Our rule is whoever sends first message should attach their face. Face pic not attached we move on,we certainly wouldn't ask! And if it's us sending first message we attach our faces.

If you use a picture that is also on your social media then it does not take much effort to Google image and trace you...your family, friends etc.

Maybe they thought it was you who was initiating the interest therefore it's only polite that you send the picture first. I often find that. People message us with no pic. As said before we won't ask. But if we were to ask, I think it would be a bit much to be expected to dish out face pics when we were never interested in the first place.

If they are interested in you they should send a face pic yes. But if it's you that has messaged them, and you have failed to include a face pic with that first message, then it's reasonable for them to prompt you. After all it's you that's interested in them, not the other way round.

The person who messages first, who makes first contact, should send their face pic first. It's as simple as that. The burden is on the person initially reaching out to say who they are if they want the other person to consider them seriously.

Otherwise it just comes down to a game of chicken on who will break first and ask for a face pic, thus having to send their own first.

If you don't want to send your face pic to many people then it comes down to being discerning with who you decide to send an initial message to.

I guess he doesn't ask for face pics therefore doesn't need them on his profile. I think his view is that those who ask for face pics should either put it on their profile or send to him first. But as he doesn't ask for face pics I guess he doesn't care what someone looks like.

Bearing this in mind, we would most likely not send you a message looking to interact with a view to meeting. You are the person seeking to interact and maybe meet, if you really want to do so then YOU are the one that has to make the effort!

If we stated on our profile that we would like a face pic and you hadn't sent one then we would delete your message and probably block you. You would have obviously ignored that part of our profile text which to us would mean you have ignored our wishes and preferences. For us that means you are not compatible with us.

Our public pictures are all partially obscured st the very least with sunglasses so we are not recognisable. But Honey you are really going to struggle on Fab if you refuse to send a face pic unless you see their's first.

If they have messaged you and failed to attach a pic you should prompt them to send. They messaged you first, why should you attach your face pic when you prompt them. It's them that is interested in you, not you interested in them

When I had a couples profile we would ask for face pics with the first message, if people choose not to send them that's their choice, you don't have to send them OP, no one is making you! If you feel that you're being asked something that you're uncomfortable with then simply move on.

I tend not to concern myself too much with how others manage their profiles or accounts, this is a small part of my life and really not worth getting worked up about

I've sent a lot first I just don't like that people ask for photos and have no intention of sending there's. at least send a message saying not interested will delete your pic I hate the feeling of people having my photos at there leisure we know couples and women on here a lot of the time could be men faking and it's a concern to me

We remove our pictures from the message after they have read just to be sure. But at the end of the day they are just faces, the same faced people see if we are walking down the street or in a club.

I agree with this. I clearly have a different view on face pics than the OP, but if people don't meet my expectations I just delete and move on. It doesn't bother me.

If one person expects the first person who messages to send a pic and the other expects the first person to ask for a pic to send one then it's just a convo going in circles and isn't really worth my time.

Haven't read the whole thread so apologies if this is repeating anything. From my perspective, I'll always send a face pic if I initiate contact with someone with a view to potentially meeting OR if they've messaged me and it appears it could be with a view to meeting, after all if there's not an attraction there best get it out the way before you get too far down the road.

If someone looks at my face pic and decides I'm not for them, then so be it - it would be nice to get a reply at least saying so, but I accept it's the way of Fab that that doesn't always happen. I'd also not expect someone to send me a face pic by return if things weren't going to progress.

I believe it lacks courtesy to request someones pictures without having the decency of attaching your own.

I understand that some women operate that way and fully respect their choice but I find it to be an unattractive behavioral trait so we probably wouldn't get on anyway.

As others have said, respect other people's profiles, if they make requests that seem unreasonable, just move on.

Having a face pic on your profile, you would be displaying it to the whole of the site without any way of filtering who sees it.

By asking for a face pic in a message, the sender can decide to send it it based on their opinion of the receiver.

I don't get how people end up with so much angst over face pics. I've never had this issue, one of us has just sent at some point and the other has responded with theirs if interested, or not if not. It's only a big deal if you make it one.

Ours asks for one if we're contacted as that's what we do!

If we message anybody we ALWAYS add a pic that's why we put it in our profile but we expect the same.

That wouldn't work. The reason being is that both parties would have to agree to exchange face pics. That means that both both parties would have to be interested. For us, we don't know if we are interested if we don't know what someone looks like. So without that initial face pic with first message we would never get to the point where we could agree to exchange messages.

its because this place is full of weird guys trying to get a face pic to most likely try to use for themselves(i still dont know why).it happens all the time.we dont necessarily need a face pic as mr meetsthe guy first anyway.you seem to think fab is a fair place but its not.its a womans world on here and if your not up for sending one then threres a long line of guys that are prepared to send.it sucks for single guys and thats not even talking about perfect profile txt and the rite pics to use etc to stand a chance of a meet and to be honast if i was on here as a single bloke i wouldn't stand a chance as i couldn't be bothered with it as its much easier to just go on the pull in a bar or how i done it by doing it as a couple.
