Any reason for stating the obvious?

Regardless if they pass or not, they're people. Treat them well and you'll be fine.

I'm just a bisexual bloke happy to rock a frock for nothing more than sexual kicks ,,,,,

But I think it's about time we stopped referring to women or men as transsexual .......

People deserve the respect of gender specific identification that defines them as the individual they truly are and not someone living in some kind of limbo..

I was wondering recently what would be worse, someone pointing out "That man is dressed like a woman" or "That woman looks like a man in drag"

I was sat next to someone at the bar in my local.

She wore a tiny denim skirt. Skimpy top. Mega high heels.

Long long slender legs.

A bra but nothing filling it.

Her hands were bigger than mine. Her voice as masculine as mine.

I was absolutely convinced I was sat next to a trans girl.

So glad I'm too polite to ask.

She started talking about her kids. Introduced me to her husband. Told me they were childhood sweethearts. Basically all the info to realise she was born female.

Later she talked about how she had lost 5 stone in weight hence showing her figure so much.

Good on her

The terms pass and convincing irritate me to be honest.... transgender people do what they do because it's a part of who and what they are, not to "fool" anyone...

I do it because it gives me pleasure, satisfies a part of me that I have no control over and will never go away. It also chills me out away from the day to day bullshit of work, bills, spiteful ex wife etc....

I do it for me and me only, if someone else likes it and wants to share it even better. But I certainly don't do it with any concerns as to whether I "pass" or someone else thinks im convincing or for anyone else's benefit

I think many of us hope we will "pass" when we first step outside.

As we get more comfortable as we are, the person we are, we evolve. Our confidence in ourselves grows and we no longer care what others think or see.

We get a thicker skin, because let's face it; many of us have too many male indicators to "fool"anyone and there will always be ignorant people.

I take it as a compliment if someone failed to realise I started life with a male body.

Mostly people compliment me on how I look and tell me, I hope not too patronisingly, that I'm brave.

I'm not brave. This is the bit many people miss. I'm not brave. I don't 'want to wear women's clothes'.

I am who I am. I can't change that. I fought for years to hide my gender issues. This is me giving in. That's not brave. I can't hide me anymore.

So; if I'm going to be me at last. If I'm going to allow the world to see who I am I better present myself in such a way they will, hopefully, understand who I feel I am.

I know I'm not a woman.

I'm just nearer to being female than I am male.

Lots of us try our best to pass and be attractive.

I've been going out and about more and more and mostly never get a second glance, which is precisely the reaction I want in public.

Never had any problems in cafes, in shops or just walking around. Staff in clothes shops have been very helpful too.

Oh, and we also try to be as sexy as possible in the bedroom....lovely feminine lingerie, nylons and so on.

It's so much more fun being a girl.

Everybody has a place in this world, we should allow each an opportunity to breathe and express themselves in that space. Who are we to judge each other? I have yet to meet people more loving, gentle, caring, intelligent and welcoming. Please respect and accept the differences, my encounters have enriched my life. Thank you to all of you I have met and for those I hope to in the future.

I'm going to try not to be ignorant here, and I want everyone to try to understand the place that this is coming from.

Sometimes I see pics in the hot pics section, and a pic will stop me in my tracks, so ill go to the profile, then notice that they are on here as tv/ts, at this point, I don't find them any less attractive but I'm not going to kid myself or anyone else, that a penis doesn't matter.

Atractive is attractive, if I was to meet a post op trans woman, I wouldn't hesitate and would never mention it again, I'm nit one of those guys that are looking for a fantasy, and lets face it, looking round at some of the tv/ts beauties on here, I wouldn't have much of a chance anyway

You're just being honest buddy so nothing to worry about.

Personally i'm Bi i like my men to be men and women to be women and a guy dressed as a woman doe's nothing for me and pointless in my world when i can get the real thing either way.

But each to their own.

The idea that it is a bloke dressed as a woman shows the lack of understanding regarding the feelings of you ladies the prejudice and bigotry that you suffer daily, when all you want is to be the person that lives inside. You ladies are like a flower bud, showing your true beauty and inner self when allowed to blossom and bloom and display what is hidden.

Well as i said a guy dressed as a woman and that is TV fact!

I'm not going to pretend he is a woman when he clearly is not.

TS is different and reason i only posted is because that guy was being honest and so i thought i he deserved someone saying so and not feel bad.

nevermind the fact that you get....

Female to male transvestites

female to male transgender

female to male transexual...

so a transvestite is technically not just a man dressed as a female. Thats rocky horror show interpretation of what a transvestite is...

its good that you recognise TS is different from TV even though you lumped them together with your comments, the guy before you that you seem to think your defending didn't do that.

probably why no-one has quoted him or picked up on his comments.

you say you are attracted to masculinity and femininity but not in the same package, thats fair enough. but you categorising all trans people as the same would be like someone arguing with you that as Bi you must fancy trans people as some of them have a cock....

for the record I didnt think their was anything wrong with your original post apart from that one line that others have picked up on...

I'm actually from the Netherlands and we are far more open and liberal thinking about such matters in general and will stand by what i say a man dressed as a woman does nothing for me and is a transvestite man pretending to be a woman.

A TS is different of course but i don't want to have sex with them either.

I do ok behind the scenes and in real life meeting people so know the type people i personally find attractive.

And to be honest i notice it's here in the UK where people seem to get worked up and stress over this whole thing where i come from people don't give a shit so maybe you all need to chill a little and be who/what you are and stop trying to complicate things and blur things ok.

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

most of that's fair enough...your entitled to your opinion, but for others to accept you're right to have it you have to accept that others are allowed a different opinion.

I'm not a transvestite I'm transgender. I have nothing against cross dressers/fetish dressers who do it for a kink, and to a lesser extent some transvestites who for them its fetish related.. but many do it as its a part of their identity and for non sexual reasons..

I am chilled but on the other hand I don't accept people categorising Me as something they don't really have an understanding of...you say the netherlands is more open and liberal, well the UK isn't and most trans people have experienced discrimination just for being who they are... its getting better nowadays but when people lump us all together as one and the same it doesn't help...

Transsexual people experience a gender identity that is inconsistent with, or not culturally associated with, their assigned sex, and desire to permanently transition to the gender with which they identify, usually seeking medical assistance (including hormone replacement therapy and other sex reassignment therapies) ...

"Some Tv/Ts can really pass for woman & look really attractive"

I'd like to ask if a TV has to be attractive, beautiful or stunning to be 'passable' or 'convincing'.

Can she not be 'convincing' if she is just ordinary?

If not, does this not then set a certain standard for any other woman? I.e in order to be considered a woman,do we all have to be beautiful? and, most important of all,who sets the standards?

I actually think if I dressed down. Didn't overdo the makeup. Made myself plain then people wouldn't look at me. Perhaps they wouldn't then realise I'm trying to align my outer with my inner.

Fuck that though. Why after all these years would I choose to be plain?

Rocky horror is an interesting illustration of my point,in the original movie Tim Curry was,in my opinion, quite attractive but obviously a TV,therefore not 'convincing' as a woman. All women,on the other hand, are by definition, convincing as women but beauty is subjective.

|Beauty and 'convincingness' are not necessarily the same thing.

I'm not interested in being "convincing ".

Early on in my journey I was in a room with a guy and I asked him what he saw in me.

All I could see were my masculine facial features and my muscular frame.

He said my femininity attracted him but equally my masculinity. He liked that I was so strong physically.

I then realised that the people, male and female, who find me attractive do so because I encompass both attributes.

I'm far from beautiful but I am fit and, apparently, a good fuck.

I would dearly love to have been given a woman's body but I wasn't and I built it up while trying to hide myself. So I'm stuck with the muscles and I've learned to like myself as I am.

It was the OP that seemed to equate convincingness and attractiveness for TVs.Both are clearly subjective.

Clearly.

I'm not a tv btw. Just sayin. X"

someone on this thread thinks you are, we all are seemingly. Just saying xx

When I spent the time doing my hair and makeup and getting fully dressed ie bra boobs etc then I look more feminine looking. But normally sitting around not shaven in the house in my nightie or pink pjs or just a dress because they just comfortable to wear I look like a man in a dress etc.

Me am just me

I love doing so call male things like playing airsoft. But yet again a lot of girls play to.

I wear skirts dresses because i want to.

Not because it will make me female.

Why do females wear male clothes because they want to be male,or just because they can and no one says anything.

Sorry I can't really say what I mean.

what you're basically saying is you 'dress' for want of a better word for reasons of comfort and not as a sexual thing. For no other reason than it feels nice, good, relaxes you or just feels right etc....

which is the opposite of the outdated, flawed and literal defination of the word transvestite

"What's 'airsoft'?"

It's where you inflate a penis pump rather than suck the air out

some people call it a sport or a game. But it's really just running around with real looking toy guns shooting each other with plastic bbs look online
