It's your choice, personally I would put it up the day it first snows as that is when Christmas starts for me .

Poland is now covered by the white carpet, hopefully so will be Sweden in a few days.

We would never have Christmas decorations in the south of England if we waited for snow

Next weekend for me. And even that's a bit early, it's only because I'll be busy the following one.

I used to go years ago but I've started to find them a chore to be honest. Overpriced watered-down mulled wine and too many tourists for my liking. You can't move!

No, you'll find me in sanctuary of the cheaper, more tranquil old men's boozers round the corner.

Yeah I know what you mean. I used to love going to the xmas markets in Germany when I lived there. We'd go lateish evening when it was going dark, mulled wine, bratty and a few new ornaments, even though it was normally really busy I still enjoyed it.

Never done the real German one! Maybe we should have a Fabbers' conventionnext year!

There's a Victorian one they had in Media City (where the Beeb is) last week which was a fraction of the price and so much better. Highly recommend it if you see one anywhere. It's moved on now though!

I put mine up as soon as it's December. We're in Advent and I think an advent calendar looks silly without some decorations as well.

Tree going up sometime next week, getting a certain birthday out the way first. To be honest if we didn't have the kids this Christmas I'm not sure in my present mindset I would bother putting it up at all.
