have you ever sought revenge on an ex for a wrong doing?

currently watching the wright stuff and apparently 1 in 3 would if they thought they could get away with it

got me curious as to how many have and did you get away with it?

ive had an ex sell all my things after splitting up, including a hand stiched air of Gucci loafers, which sold for £20!

No, I never have.

I've been tempted to say a few home truths to my ex wife recently after she made some unpleasant revelations, but I resisted the initial urge to do so and I'm glad I did. We are still very good friends luckily.

I afew weeks back was thinking of serving a slice of cold hearted revenge. I'd hit the point of if you can hurt me so badly. Lets see how you like it.

Was i being myself?....No i wasnt!.

I asked peeps what they would do. And do you know they gave me such good advice. And in one word......Dignity!. Stopped me from making a nutter out of myself!!!

shit happens in life, moveing on whilst not easy initially is a far more positive way to live than looking back and 'planning' or thinking about what you can do in 'revenge'

i didnt do anything wrong just ended a shitty relationship, she also sold my entire dvd collection, and all my cooking things, like expensive knives and pans!

i was ina relationship for 3 yers with a guy who un beknown to me was leading a double life.due to culture issues(he was indian),i never met his family. when i accidently found out he was actually seeing 2 of us and that he had just married her and was still seeing me 3 times a week. i was heartbroken as we had talked about marriage so i traced her down and told her everything hehe.needless to say i never heard from him again

personally i haven't and would like to think i would be dignified and not do so but yet there is a small part of me that knows that if given the right reason and could be certain i would get away with it i might just give it a go

love the stories of things like prawns in sofas and cress carpets always make me giggle

much kudos to those that can be the bigger person but i know deep down there is a very small chance i could be the smaller one

There’s no doubt that person who is consumed by hate, is subconsciously embroiled with feelings of hurts and anger,,,,,,

As only person truly hurt by hatred, is the person doing the hating ,,, and the person who is the object of hatred is mostly oblivious to the hatred directed at them.

So I prefer to just get on with life and spend my emotional energies on positive thoughts and actions ,,,,,and not the ones which inflict self harm as hatred does

But thats just me

hubby had right shit off his ex. we had our door took off in the early hours by the police looking for firearms, (there where non)!. a week later we had the police again in the early hours for a disterbance,(there where non)!. car tyres slashed 28 times in one month!

So yes now it seems mental but at the time it was a "you can't get to me anymore" move.

It's not as though you bludgeoned him to death with a mallet, or hacked off his bits with a rusty pair of secateurs, so don't fret about it, but I'd bet my last penny he checks the seat before sitting down and has done since that monumentous day.

To be honest im not usually one to seek revenge i believe in what goes round comes round. But i will not tolerate someone calling me a liar. I just like to gloat when their found out to be the liar after all.

I did poison my ex husband and nearly 20 years later he still goes on about, geesh some men just cant let things drop

I once took revenge on a guy. He cheated on me and we split. He wanted to remain "friends" and I went along with it, pretending to be nicey nice to him but underneath seething with anger. His new relationship started to go wrong within 6 months and he came to me to talk about all his woes. She wanted to move in with him, he didnt want to rush things. I portrayed the loving supportive friend and bided my time.

One day he forwarded me a joke via email which had come from his girlfriend. I now had her email address. I emailed him back asking how things were with him, deliberately baiting him to give me information. He responded telling me that he was going to finish with her, that she was too pushy etc. The conversation carried on with him letting it all out, until the final email when he said could he please meet up with me again because he'd been a fool. On this email, instead of pressing reply, I pressed the "reply to all" button and all our email correspondence went directly to the girlfriend.

For a second I felt glee, then dread. When he phoned me telling me that she had been around his house and thrown bricks through window was bad enough. When she phoned me absolutely begging me not to take him off her cos she loved him, I felt the nastiest bitch in the world and I will never ever do that to anyone again.

I would never take revenge again. It gives no pleasure and I spent nights crying over what Id done. I am ashamed of the action I took and I let myself down and acted without dignity.

I do believe that what goes around comes around. If someone is deliberately nasty and hurtful to someone, then they have to live with that fact and in time it will come back to them. No doubt my wrongdoing will come back on me. But I know that I will never deliberately hurt an innocent party again.

We are about 15 mins outa Pontypridd and we do go to Crawley in west sussex 2-3 times a year so get in touch !!

Well this may be a tad harsh but i thought it was good for the time but after catching my ex after a secon affair i stuck 20 pick of her in compromising situations on face book and nearly got banned for it but at least they were on there for a week the evil c--t lol

lol, some guy opened a yahoo account put semi naked pictures of me on and my mobile number. Hadnt a clue until the calls came in. I thought it was seriously funny as i hadnt done anything to him for all i know the account could still be there. But the calls stopped after about 6 months

I've never understood the need for revenge on an ex. I've been wronged more than once but harbour little or any bitterness. 2 of my ex's are amongst my closest friends.

Life is too short to be full of bitterness and hatred particularly towards someone that you have loved and shared goodtimes with. So what if a relationship ends bad, why beat yourself up fpcusing on the negativity? Beyond me to be honest...

I knew of two revenge "incidents" when I worked at a Heathrow Airport hotel 35 years ago; both of these involved Air Crew.

1. An airline captain was found by his long term girlfriend to be dating one of the new stewardesses on his flights. She waited until he was taking off from Heathrow on a long-haul flight to USA, followed by a 4 day rest stayover, then a long-haul flight to Australia, 4 more rest days, then return to the UK. On the day of his first flight, she called the Dial the Time number in New York from his London flat and left the receiver off the hook!!! His next bill was horrendous!!

2. This involved another Captain and how his wife found he'd a mistress. She first of all liberally shook Chilli powder into all of his underwear (he didn't sit comfortably for weeks!) and then once she found out which uniform he was wearing for his next flight, then proceeded to sew up all sleeves on his spare shirts and jackets (inside at the elbows), plus all the legs on all of his spare trousers (inside at the knees!).
