Since its rant day today..

My uncle has made a fly by visit to his mum (my grandma) and decided to install a new ariel and purchase a freeview box to my grandma's existing TV

(she has just bought a new Smart TV with in built freeview.. meaning she could return this to store and get her money back)

I mearly suggested phoning up a local satalite specialist just to get a 2nd quote (thought i was being logical).. he agree'd. The guy i spoke to said that if the Sky dish worked fine, all my grandma needed was a FREESAT box and no need for a new ariel. I told him this and now he has the hump with me and then left her house.

He walked out and made it quite clear i was the one at fault as he just wanted to do this for her as a xmas gift. I do feel like i may have ruined his idea,, but by saving him hundreds of pounds. I feel rotten.. but feel his reaction was slightly over the top and childish. I apologised as i left (my grandma was upset that HE was upset)

The gent i spoke to just suggested a £50 freesat box and run it from the Sky dish as it worked fine.. so no need for the new ariel and then the added expense of a freeview box.

gone off colouring in at the moment. was given a lush kids xmas crafts book yesterday and looking forward to doing some bits from that this weekend..

I had a bit of a rant at my sister 2 Saturdays ago. Tell me if I'm in the wrong right.

So my sister and I have different Dads, her Dad is now with a woman that is a multimillionaire (genuine he's been with her since 2007) for those that know my area she owns half of porthcawl. Anyway she has 2 kids not with my sisters father, they're not even step sisters with my sister. She tells me not to get her anything for Xmas cos she's skint and can't buy anything for me or my daughter. Ok I thought, whatever. I then go in my mums and see she has presents for all her family her dad's side including his partners 2 daughters and the fucking dog has 3 presents wrapped in wrapping paper that has the actual dogs face on if so it was fancy paper that would've cost more than your average paper.

I say then right so you say you're skint but buy presents for all that side even the dog but nothing for your actual blood related niece (my 7 year old daughter) fuck presents for me but my daughters a child like, her fathers partners daughters are 24 and 26 years old. It upset me and I started an argument that my daughter was less important than her fathers bastard dog.

Anyway she started crying after I left and has now gone back to amazon to work over Xmas (as uni is finished) so she can have money.

Was I wrong to kick off cos she didn't get anything for my daughter yet bought shit for all her fathers side?

i probs wouldnt have 'kicked off' but would have been hurt by it. i think its about the gesture rather than the cost. even a token gift or a lovely handwritten card would have been appriciated.

phew i am relieved. do feel a big smug today though.. lol

Engineer came out went up on the roof, established a very poor signal if an arial was put up and then suggested a freesat box.
