arm against breast - workplace protocol

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

I had a bit of a dilemma at a work event yesterday. I met for the first time a very attractive woman, we chatted, she liked my jokes. All good, except for the fact that I would suggest she is out of my league if for no other reason than she's about 20 years younger then me.

Anyway, group photo time and (what a shame) I am placed next to her. The photographer requested we all 'squeeze in please' at which point I became VERY, VERY conscious of the fact that she had squeezed in and had turned in to such an extent that her breast very firmly pressed against my arm.

Now it was very pleasant but...... what does one do in these circumstances? I assumed she was as conscious as I of the proximity of her breast against my arm (ladies, could you verify?) and yet neither of us did anything about it. One on my behalf, I hadn't instigated the movement and it felt nice. I also thought that if I moved my arm away it would somehow be an acknowledgement.

I am assuming that she too once she was pressed against me in such a way thought that if she moved it would be an acknowledgement and it would therefore be a bit embarrassing.

But it did get me thinking about the protocol should be. Should I have been gallant and moved? Or was I right to pretend it hadn't happened and stand there for several more minutes even though I was enjoying the 'situation'. Was she even aware? Given that I was aware and did nothing does it in law constitute a sexual assault even???

Tricky one I'd say but I guess given the circumstances there was no harm and no foul called by either party?

I'm assuming she hasn't complained that she was squeezed up against work mates in a way that 'exposed' her?

Maybe just maybe her tit brushed your arm! No big deal and you're overthinking something that doesn't mean anything, would there be a thread today if Greasy Mike from accounts had pushed his cock into you???

Should have grabbed her tits, you'd have known one way or another then. Results varying from shagging over the photocopier, to an assault charge and a black eye

First or third might have been acceptable results in the circumstances...

"You're way overthinking if I think. "

I often have had to 'squeeze in' for staff group pics. I was normally more concerned about BO and bad breath (other people's) than my boobs mashed up against some guy's arm for 10 mins whilst the photographer mucked about. At work, my boobs are no more sexual than my elbow. Mind you, try grabbing any part of me without a written invitation is tantamount to suicide, which anyone who knows me is well aware!

...Up on the Downs

If she squeezed up to you, no need to move. Yes, she was aware and no it doesn't mean anything other than lack of paranoia.

If I miss-time my turn when dancing a chap can get an armful of boob-pressage, and that's just my fault, oops a daisy. If he does it repeatedly, he's trying to cop a squidge and I can ignore it if I don't mind him doing that, or simply refuse to dance with him.

Whip up her top and lick her nipples.

But seriously, you are way overthinking this.

It was a group photo. The photographer had asked you all to move in closer together so that he could fit you all in the shot, and you all complied.

That's it.

"You're way overthinking if I think. "

I agree, she may have felt slightly uncomfortable, but it's done. It was her that moved into you,if she didn't want that close a contact then she should have stood forward and not side on.

To be fair you were a bit cryptic .

Most women would move if they were uncomfortable with the situation. It doesn't mean she was trying to convey any intent it just means she believed you to be the kind of man who understood that breasts and arms make contact in group photos.

I understand how men might feel compromised in that situation given the difficulty some have in distinguishing between what's appropriate and what's not though.

This, ladies and gents is what happened when your society becomes politially correct to an extreme : A grown man facing genuine concern because his arm brushed against another adult's boob.

I've had a woman rub up my legs with her feet at work. Wonder if HR would even care?

When i used to help out at the infants school one of the teachers was really hot n me being a big gob he must of known I wanted to fuck him. Anywsy one day whilst on the computer he came n sat next to me n placed him arm firmly against my boob as he was using the mouse. I recon that was a deliberate act but nothing ever came of it between us. I've since heard hes shagging another helper. Bastard. xxx
