My boss.

I've actually been given NYE and new years day off. First time in 7 yrs. Now I need to find something to do! I want to celebrate this one in spectacular style. I have a lot say goodbye to from this year, and a lot to look forward to the next.

What do you lot have planned? X

We rarely see the new year in as i struggle to stay awake beyond 9 pm. We also always like to be around for the children should they need us (one year we had to collect eldest daughter at 3.30 am after she fell out with her bf).

A few years ago we were at Chams and more recently we watched a kasabian concert live at midnight. We are planning to go to City Celts this year though ... if i can stay awake

I really hate New Year, it's never a good time for me. If we can't go away somewhere then it'll be a quiet night in with a film.

I tend to stay in most NYE - I don't know why I always find it a little sad rather than joyous. Perhaps as its the end of the festive season.

A couple of years ago I even went to bed before midnight, mind you I was poorly that year.

I'll probably have a quiet one at home - I find going out on NYE overpriced and overrated

I find New Year a sad time to be honest and there is far too much media pressure to go out and party and have it large.

So i go to bed at 10pm

Probably change that when my kids get older as i don't want them to have bad associations with it.

I love nye. It's an extension to the festive period for me. Christmas round 2 with the other half of the family and the kids are at the best age where they're old enough to stay up and not old enough to go out and do their own thing.

Might be going round to a friends house. Don't like going out as there's too many people trying to get bladdered before midnight then once midnight hits everyone's off home.

Its the one time of year my ex can get legitimately d*unk so ill be at home with my one drink maximum, probably a fine malt, and see the new year in with Jools Holland and enjoy the fireworks over the city skyline
