I've hidden my profile as I'm not meeting at the moment. I don't initiate messages as I don't want to mislead people.

If people write to me via the forums I will respond. What I do find annoying is when they then ask you to make your profile visable!

It's hidden for a reason!

If it was me.. hiding it is one thing..but after initial hello s etc and both warming up to each other I would request a pic at least (but that doesnt mean its a fake pic or not) and then go with gut feelings

The only time I'll chatnto a hidden profile, is if I've already seen their profile, and am aware of them. So they have hidden their profile after we've chatted. But as an initial connection, I wouldn't personally OP.

Someone I chat to sometimes on here has a hidden profile but I didn't respect her privacy at all and messaged asking why it was hidden. She did the same for me once. It's nice not to be forgotten.
