"Why is it insults are often easier to believe than compliments?"

Because you're probably being inundated with compliments, from guys that you know are only trying to get into your knickers. It's like the word love. If it's thrown around, it becomes meaningless.

Insults are just people lashing out because of their own insecurities! Compliments are given from those who are able to empithize with others and express how they feel!

Mostly insults don't bother me anymore cos I'm in a better place emotionally now.

Compliments I smile and gratfully receive but mostly they are ten a penny especially on here. Compliments from my family are a different thing altogether and are cherished. Xxx

Off the grid

I actually found this more before I joined Fab. Now both merge into meaningless noise most of the time.

But pre-Fab, I struggled with this a lot more.

Do ladies see compliments from couples as different to those from single males, it just popped onto my head reading these responses. Just curious..

Yes, and also if I'm complimented by other women.

No, I don't take compliments from either too seriously. If it's to comment on my witty repartee, I'm dripping regardless of it being from a couple, woman, man...

Good question op and I've wondered the same. I know I personally feel uncomfortable when complemented but an insult just rolls off my back.

"Why is it insults are often easier to believe than compliments?"

Because we're conditioned to do so by some very messed up elders.

For me, I've spent so much being insulted I'm now perplexed by compliments.

I find it hard to accept compliments as I have the immediate defense mechanism of thinking the person giving them has an agenda - I'm wary of neurotypical insincerity.

Sin I'd just like to make it clear I've never complemented you trying to get into your knickers. Mainly because in my mind you aren't wearing any

Only one person has pissed me of on here with an insult, not really the insult itself but the fact he was being a knob and couldnt back up what he said. But was trying to win favour with the women he fancied only it backfired on him
