Now before you all start this is not a look at me post or anything but

How do you feel when some one says some thing eg your ugly or xyz

Is it just water off your back or do you hide how it hurts or let it hit you like a brick

For me I am not all that but iam happy how I am and who I am when others have been mean it used to hurt and have had a few crys about stuff in the years but now water off my back and if they have a problem it's their problem

I guess it hurts every one in different ways how do you deal with it?

I've only ever been called it by people online who are distinctly uglier than I am (objectively) so no, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Have been called some horrendous names over the years, just ended up becoming hardened to the sick minds emotional outbursts after all people who project hate to others are really saying "im sad please give me attention"

Hey one day you look like a model and everyone loves you next day you could have a bad accident and have a very new life ahead of you..best not to tempt fate.

There's being aesthetically ugly and there's being characteristically ugly. Some on here are definitely the latter. Vile in fact.

ugliness comes in many forms, one word can be ugly to one person yet to look on some one can ugly to another.

I find that words are the worst & can be the most cruel 7 ugly.

I tend to obsess about it for a while, but then put it behind me.

It used to bother me a lot when I was younger. I was always the lad that didn't have have a girlfriend while all my mates did and it can hurt when you get a 'ugh!' right back at you.

Now I'm older and wiser it's water off a ducks back. We're not going to appeal to everyone, beauty is subjective, lots of people aren't going to like me. C'est la vie, move on!

I couldn't care less. If they feel the need to say that then they are ugly inside and I know I'm not.

I smile in my head and shake my head sadly and pityingly at their futile and puerile attempts to get me to make contact with them. That's a nada.

I know that I won't be everyone's type, so I'm not bothered if someone calls me 'ugly' or says 'sorry you're not my type'. People need to realise that if they tell someone they look attractive and it's not returned, the universe won't collapse

Even the most beautiful person can be ugly OP. I was brought up to believe that being a good kind person is what makes someone beautiful. So my definition of ugly is not necessarily the same as some others. If someone I don't know says it, it doesn't bother me at all. It would hurt if someone I knew said it though.

Would,nt normally refer to anyone that way . If I do its not with there looks but how I feel in there company.

Had this conversation with work colleagues. I was trying to impress how someone resembled " I thought" to a celebrity, out of a group of eight only one agreed.

Now understand how differently we all see facial features.

Being called ugly is of little concern to me.......ha ha accepted long ago I,m very niche with my looks...

If someone called me ugly, I wouldn't care. I accepted I was some time ago so can laugh at it now. If someone called me uneducated or a simpleton, that would rile me. Or a slut. But I would try not to let it show as a reaction would surely give the person the response craved.

Its all a perception of power. If they call you "ugly" then they perceive they have control. By not answering or rising to it and just carrying on as if nothing had been said then that power becomes impotence because you have not given in to that power.

As a high school kid I was once voted 'ugliest girl in class!' A lovely girl had asked all the boys to rate the girls - and i'd come out as ugliest! The whole class looked when she happily sat down to tell me the news! I cried!

I was fucking delighted when I learned whilst at college that she was the only girl in school to fail all her 'O' levels!

Off the grid

When I was a young teen, and new to an area, I was walking our dog. Went past a group of kids and one looked at me and said "Eew, even that dog's better looking than she is".

I was so shy and unconfident back then it really got to me.

Mostly I don't get told bad stuff. Or good stuff (face to face anyway). I'm a blend into the background and no one notices kind of person.

It generally wouldn't bother me, as I'll probably not care about the person who's said it. I'm aware of certain physical characteristics about myself that may exclude me from a lot of modeling jobs, so there's probably no news at all.

Lyndhurst

A man on the forums once more or less said i was ugly so i deleted some of my pictures, i may be ugly to some people but not others, we cant all be beautiful.

There are some people on here who think they are good looking but i dont think they are, they get told they are and they believe it i suppose. I dont put so many pictures on here now because of comments people make about womens bodies on the forums, i feel too ashamed to put them on but it doesnt put me off meeting men for sex though. Then again some people dont like what they cant have.

Ignore.. Anyone who resorts to name calling and getting personal are almost always unhappy folk with a chip on their shoulder.

some people do talk a load of crap. "Some" people just go for looks. Other people go for respectful fun people that they are compatable with.

Very few people are adonises or stunning, most are just regular people like you see walking down the street (cause thats what we are) now i know what kind of people im attracted to so i will be fucked if im going to meet someone im not compatable with just to give them a chance. Now get over yourself

Quite correct & with 20,000+ on the site you'd could plan a meet every week, fuck a lot of them and still never know cos you'd die of old age first..

So we'll stick to ones we think are attractive, With aytractove personalities, say mostly attractive things (everyone is entitled to a whinge) & fit our profile thanks..

"it wouldn't bother me, it's just someones opinion of you that means nothing as ugliness is subjective. if they're on here looking for sex but don't find you attractive, why message you to tell you that? "

"Now before you all start this is not a look at me post or anything but

How do you feel when some one says some thing eg your ugly or xyz

Is it just water off your back or do you hide how it hurts or let it hit you like a brick

For me I am not all that but iam happy how I am and who I am when others have been mean it used to hurt and have had a few crys about stuff in the years but now water off my back and if they have a problem it's their problem

I guess it hurts every one in different ways how do you deal with it? "

'ugly' was my nickname by my cousins when i was a child, name calling is childish. it means the other person hasn't grown up yet. it's my choice how i respond to things, people show themselves up, if you let them get on with it..

a quandary, could you change my mind?

"There's being aesthetically ugly "
all of course down to our own rose coloured spectacles.

" there's being characteristically ugly.

Some on here are definitely the latter. Vile in fact. "

And that is just the comments given in open forums, can't imagine how bad the messages might be on private messages.

People think I'm ugly. That's until they realise how much money I make. Then they think I'm ugly AND poor
