"I would have thought you need quite a lot to play with in order to be able to make that kind of money so easily" £3000 I put in, but the company gives its share holders dividends each year so your making profit from that anyway, but again just need to select the right companies who's share prices won't fall too low or a company that won't be going bust in the future or has a very slim chance

"£3000! Marrried, mortgage, bills, low income.....can't remember the last time we had that kinda bunce lying around to gamble with Guess I won't be making my millions before the new year " Haha even so! I started with £100 as it was my first trade and I managed to turn that too £150 in a few months granted it's not massive amount over that time period but you have to start somewhere I guess

"If I was punting 3 grand, I'd rather chance my luck on the AIM .... Dividend yield on a £3000 investment ain't going to make anyone rich " AIM shares a so risky though, and no your not going to get rich but on a bigger scale say 7 years time? Obviously you have to keep putting money in I try and manage £400 a month now until I hit the £3000 mark then invest that lump some

I've traded via a nominee account for over 30 years and enjoyed the highs and lows , but fortunately it's just been a hobby for me rather than a means of earning a living or risking my financial security .....

"Ever thought about working from home it's now possible £700 made today!!" I knew a bloke who blew the best part of £200k by trading. For some, it has the same appeal and compulsion as gambling. Actually, it is gambling.

I once owned shares in a diamond mining company which I bought of 3/4 of a pence each, which ran to the dizzy heights 27p a share the day before the company liquidated ....

"Good dividend companies. Low risk companies Patience Dont put all your eggs in one company. I wouldnt get excited over £700 it is possible to have a good income. But look at it long term £700 isnt going to pay your bills for long. Buy good shares on a bad day" Yeah I understand that, its something that I put a lot of pennies into each month, I try to save around £3000 mark before investing that lump some into a company of my choosing I'm currently invested with 2 companies at the minute each and in a few months I hope too be 3 if those 3 companies make me £700 that's £2100, if I can hit my target and find 2 companies each year on the basis I put in £400 a month 7 years time that's 14 companies with around £3000 invested in each, IF they do make say £700 each that would be a total profit of £9800 in 7 years, the total value would then be £51800 this of course dosent include dividends, obviously that is slightly optimistic and you can loose money but this is the reason we have stop losses I suppose

"No different to "professional gamblers" - I guess it's a cool hobby, but when people smugly say they do it for a living, as if it requires any skill or intelligence, it annoys me. " Not smugly just spreading the word to say it's possible I sat there and at first just thought it's gambaling, I'm not intelligent enough to do it, all these things crossed my mind it shouldn't be that way people should give it ago!

"When you've got to go on the internet to brag to strangers about money, you know you've hit an all time low." Not bragging far from just simply spreading the word that it can be done! People shouldn't have fears about doing it! If I was to brag about it I'd go about it in a different way! Just simply trying to show and explain to people it can be done!

"I used to get mailing through about penny shares, I wonder if that was really all it was hyped up to be. If it didn't take a really long time and was reasonably easy to do I would be someone interested as I always have been drawn to stocks and shares. I feel like I wouldn't have enough to make a worthwhile investment and I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing either." See this is why I posted this topic up because I bet there's a lot of people thinking along them sort of lines! It can be done!! Didn't want it too come across as bragging I'm not that way enclined!!

Oh yeah most definitely but again well researched company with stop losses in place you won't loose too much money, that's what their there for. " Back in my day (the Stone Age) it was common for school children to play a game in which they would be given an imaginary small pot of money to invest in the stock market over the course of 6 months. They regularly outperformed professional investors. I did well. I chose company names that I liked.

"So this company went up 23% in one day? If you can find a company that does that everyday, then you can make £700 /day on £3k investment. But, that's not really possible. To claim £700 /day ,even on good research, you need substantially more invested. " That's not on a daily basis that's what my current stock price is at now, 23% each day isn't possible

"Ever thought about working from home it's now possible £700 made today!!" Whilst I am glad that you have a profit , investing in shares is long term. No one can pedict the future . Whilst the returns on shares are the best that you can get , I would never gamble on short term movements .

"For a share's value to rise by £700 in one day, you'd need about £150,000 invested. " Look at my question above and the OP answer. I think he actually means today they are worth £700 than when he started. Quite different. Nice, but not a work from home opportunity unfortunately.
