If you're talking the nasty little round green things---I can handle most of one (and one only) if it's positively drenched in butter.

Now tell me "sprouts" refers to something else and I'll be laughing my head off at myself for the rest of the night.

Loves sprouts. Great steamed then dripping in butter and black pepper. Or steamed, cut in half then fried in butter with chopped up smoky bacon. Jack

What you call sprouts I call Brussels sprouts and what I call sprouts you call alfalfa, bean, or whatever sprouts.

Where I'm from, kids are sometimes referred to as little sprouts.

Should be move onto spouts now??

Prep them as usual, chop in half then boil, once their cooked take a frying pan and cook some lardons till their good an crispy, add a dollop of butter and some paxo mix (I usually use an full small packet) add the sprouts and keep adding the paxo till you've ran out, stop using butter to keep the moisture at this point and use white wine instead, keep mixing as you cook or it'll stick and burn

It is, I agree. Who said British food was boring? (at least the names aren't). But note: it isn't made out of sprouts! (IS IT???? Thought it was cabbage which I love. If not, I've been enjoying sprouts without knowing it).

When I do bubble and squeak its all left over veg mashed up and also throw left over meat in there. Fry it all up then have a poached egg on top and a good dollop of brown sauce.
