Swinging chat - in everyday life

I was at work this week and in a meeting just waiting for a few more people to arrive.

One of my colleagues mentioned "that gentleman's club on the a1" clearly meaning vanilla alternative. The discussion then turned to what it actually was with a few different theory's being suggested - none close!. I just kept quiet and pretended I hadn't noticed it there!

Anyone had anything similar? What do you tend to do in those situations?

I'd just moved here and was out with a new group of friends for the first time. One told us last time she was out a couple approached her and seemed to be chatting her up - she thought they were swingers!

Everyone there found it hilarious and horrifying in equal measure.

I stayed mega, mega quiet.
