Just went out as I've run out of ciggies and we've got Blizzards and flooding in the south Wales valleys. Anyone else got snow?

As soon as the snow is hitting the ground it is turning immediately to slush, which is freezing.

Quite a few local B roads and two A roads are closed due to flooding.

Its just taken me 35 minutes to drive 4 miles!

The dog is now (irony of ironies) a vets! The dog/vets ia actually in Pontllanfraith by the way I had a night or two there in my youth. It was where you could get served still wearing school uniform!

Pontllanfraith, home of the Manic Street Preachers. Many, many moons ago I worked with James Dean Bradfield's lovely mam, Sue. Now of blessed memory.

Thanks for prompting that memory. Sue used to frequent the dog as she was the local bookie! Good to keep in with the publicans and their regulars in that game.

I am up in the Sirhowy and Rhymney Valleys. Bloody treacherous out! Haven't seen a single thing on the news though...
