Something to do with lemon..cook half a lemon in some water in it? Or use bicarb mixed with water to clean it out? Something like that.

Hah! thanks for the advice my fab friends, this is a result.

I didn't have any lemon so I nipped out to Tescos. After choosing a particularly juicy lemon, I had to pass by the wine aisle. And would you believe it? A bottle of tasty red just dropped off the shelf. Luckily, I caught i9t before it reached the floor, but I then felt guilty and did the right thing by paying for the bottle of red as well as the lemon.

So now I'm sat on my sofa with the kitchen door closed, glass of wine in hand, and I can no longer detect any potato smell from the microwave!

Maybe tomorrow morning, I'll get the lemon from my car...
