"Keeping feet warn and dry in wet grass is very difficult - you have to buy something like expensive walking boots with gortex linings, or the Dubarry type boots. Bodywarmers are the best for keeping warm when doing horses, they leave your arms properly free and vented." You could buy some gortex socks? I bet you could pick some up from a Army surplus shop for less than a tenner, or ebay?

"Thank you so much for your suggestions. I do wear a hat and gloves. (They are just normal ones, maybe I need to look at some extra warmth, thinsulate items) I will get a body warmer that sounds like a great idea on top of my jacket. And I will look into those waterproof socks too. What number do I need to call to have my bubble bath run please?" Message me for the details. Its against forum rules to post contact deatils.

"I've had good yard boots from Ariat and Timberland - I can't see the point in buying waterproof sox and getting shoes soaking wet every day, you'd have to dry them out all the time! If you are walking across grass every morning, it will be wet every dau until next may lol!!" this. I work outside all summer long and i'm a cheapskate with clothes I really am but not with boots. I won't blink at spending a couple of hundred quid on boots. festivals get notoriously muddy and I've happily spent whole soggy summers ankle deep in wet slop yet with warm comfy boots/feet. no fancy socks or anything. The same boots are great in snow and ice..lovely and cozy. do some looking and get good boots every time
