Ad-hoc "on-the-fly" Cell phone batteries.

You can get them at WH-Smith services but they are @ £20 quid.

Which is a bit pricey imo.

Oh good call!! Never have tea from a vending machine even though I prefer proper tea to coffee. Mind you in our office it actually comes with a tea bag and whatever whitener they use is ok too...but the powdered vending machine stuff is just bleurgh!!

My school vending machine was good, had the compartments that you slid open. Some had sandwiches, scotch eggs, apples, oranges, bananas, pasties, sausage rolls!

I saw a vending machine in Croatia that would make a pizza with the toppings you picked right there in front of you - they weren't pre-made. It was cheap, too, but it took ages to actually give you the pizza

Not been to Japan but I saw a used panties machine in Thailand, which I'm assuming is what you're referring to? Very random, all with different girls pictures.

I used to work in an engineering workshop where they had a bacon or sausage barricade vending machine, it was very popular (although the associated microwave was often bolloxed!)
