I've never been diagnosed with anything, I've always suffered from anxiety though. It used to come about in really bad panic attacks, now it's just an impending sense of doom.

I have it too but my medication has really helped me. Before that I was filled with constant dread and had daily panic attacks.

Hope you're feeling better soon xx

Sorry to hear this. I suffer from quite bad anxiety... The impending doom type, like another poster said.

I found meditation really helped me...

Nobody can understand it like you. Even fellow sufferers will have different triggers and symptoms but it's even harder for someone who hasn't had it. People say "get a grip" or "you just need to chill out". Could you ask your doctor if you could speak to someone?

I take an anti depressant called sertraline.

PM me if you need someone to talk to.

xx

Sorry you get stuck with an illness people just don't understand I myself can have a panic attack over using the wrong cup or picking up the post haha silly I know I take sertraline it helps so much, but I do suggest keeping on at the doctor for a referral to talk to someone.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

I saw a really good councillor from a local hospital..

He was able to explain the reasoning behind every feeling and create a program to help me cope..

Just knowing you are not alone and that there are many of us going through similar does help in an odd way..

Its the feeling of isolation that I found worst, feeling like I was the only one going through this because, as you said op, nobody close understood.

Feeling less isolated does remove some of that feeling of dread and not being in control.. Controlling the release of adrenaline that causes you to feel that way is the key to totally lifting that heavy weight off your chest, the one that makes it hard to breathe and feels like your chest is tightening..

That, your therapist will help with learning to control.

Good luck, there is another side and you will come out of it unscathed and much stronger.
