Tribute Bands

With so many of the great rock groups having disbanded, got past it or in some cases passed on, fans can still enjoy tribute bands.

Some are fantastic, anyone seen any they would recommend?

Heres one for Hendrix fans, check out John Campbell's group Are You Experienced, absolutely brilliant!

Off to see a local AC/DC tribute band in a couple of weeks.

They're on Youtube somewhere under the name DC/AC

viva santana...close your eyes when the band on stage and it just sounds like carlos...9 piece band great sound and a fab night out..they also have there own web site google is your friend

We're going to see Twin Lizzy at the weekend.

Heard good things and the guy who portrays Phil Lynott appears in at least two Lizzy bands, so must be good.

seen a lot of them over the past few years

an one venue in particular host tribute bands in glasgow on a regular basis called

A-Ha! pirate tribute band: A-harrrrrrrr!

Pet Shop Boys tribute band: Anal Hamster

and my favourite...

Jewish Black Sabbath tribute band: Nice Saturday

There's the glastonbudget festival on at the end of may with loads of top tribute acts Including a few mentioned above.

think floyd are ace, the sound engineer for that group is on the website lol

little house on the praire

About ten years ago i saw a queen tribute band called magic. They where bloody brilliant. They didnt dress up or anything and werent young then not sure if they are still going now

Limehouse Lizzy - Thin Lizzy

Complete Madness - Madness

Magic - Queen - think they still around if not try a band called Mercury

Bon Jovi Experience

The East Street Band - Springsteen (not seen them stuff on teh web site looks good though)

The New Roscoe pub in Leeds has tribute bands on regularly (google the pub name to find out who and when)

As does The Duchess in York (used to be Fibbers, on The Stone Bow, anyone local will remember The Duchess of York in leeds - now closed, its the same managment team)

have a look at tribfest its a music festival its on in Hull i think June July or Aug cant remember now, but they are all tribute bands, kings ov leon are awsome
