Not really, but you while you may be able to buy a bigger house or move somewhere nicer you'll still be the same person at the end of the day.

Hmmm. I don't really know. I'd like to think that things will get better, but I can't say with any degree of certainty that they will. I guess, in my gut, I'd say that things will probably be stagnant for the most part with small upward mobility.

Why should generations of the future consign themselves to defeat by repeating the mistakes of the past....

History is just one thing after another but that doesn't mean it should always repeat itself...... ya reckon... eh!

Yes. I think there is more control over influencing your life when you're in your 20s. The decisions made then are what set you up for failure or success later (or, this is the case in my and Marc's lives, anyway). So now we are seeing how the chips have fallen, and I'm not sure how smart our initial bets were.

But control is very often an illusion when it comes to success and failure, anyway. There is an element of it, yes, but there are too many contributing factors outside of our individual control.

That's been my experience, anyway.

I agree with you ,,,,,,,

It's just speaking as an old-crock, I feel that back in my day young peoples aspirations were more tempered by their social environment and therefore broadly more realistic, where as now the younger generation seem too be force fed aspiration in a world where the reality of achieving is becoming increasingly stacked against them by the very nature more people now dare to aspire ...

There is a lot less room at the top than the bottom or the middle..
