Be nice to someone today

Mold

There was a tragic incident at work yesterday, where a gentleman in my office collapsed and later died

I only work from that office every other week. Go in, do my work and go home again.

I hardly know anyone there at all.

I didn't know him from Adam, never spoken to him at all, and that made me realise that there are too many strangers out there.

And so it's made me realise that I should actually make the effort to introduce myself, go make that cuppa and so on.

Be nice to someone today.

Life is too precious not to

Yep- sitting in traffic trying to get to work because someone chucked themselves off a bridge and the road is closed.

To be in that much pain- heartbreaking

I was having a bad week until this- it made me feel grateful for My life xx

...

Life is way too short, today highlights that.

Perhaps we should all attempt to do some sort of good deed to at least one person we do not know every day.

Its easy to concentrate on our own lives but there are people in worse situations than ourselves. Lift is too short to bear grudges as well.

Motto for today `Be nice'

I have a lot of time for Gary V. One of his books really struck a chord with me.

This video seems to fit with this thread in a way.

I like this.

There was a film, I think it was called pay it forward. Excellent. You never know what your actions do, and how they can change someone's life.

Brilliant but sad thread.

I'm not maudlin, rather a bit philosophical about it.

I don't feel a personal loss, but more for his friends and colleagues.

I'm working from home today, to give them time to grieve. But will be back in there tomorrow, saying hello

Another way to look at it would be....today could be your last day, do whatever you want, not what someone says for you to do

Traffic land

I always try and give a smile to whoever jf eye contact is made, and even a genuine compliment if warranted, male or female. It's happened to me in the past and can give a little boost, especially if it's a rubbish day.

But whilst I agree with some of those sentiments, it's more about being generous and not selfish, and thinking of those who knew him

Sorry to hear this lovely - it's obviously affected you and I'm sending huge hugs!

Luckily I work in a place full of lovely people and lovely customers - so it's easy to be nice!

Life is indeed precious and it's always nice to be nice. Such hackneyed phrases but so true
