Did you have a teddybear as a child or a form of "comforter" that you carried with you. I didnt have a teddybear, i had a fox with no arms but didnt take it everywhere and i can only remember having one doll. I didnt have a dummy or anything. My sister had a cloth that she used to suck and had it every night to send her to sleep

I had a toy white poodle/generic white dog. I loved him but a few years later, I dug him out of the old toy box and decided to disembowel him and never got round to sewing him back. Shame, I actually would like to have it as a souvenir of my childhood

He's a bit thin and could do with re-stuffing, his mouth worn away from me kissing him, but will never part with him

I still have my childhood bear, hes a Steiff bear called Edward, i like to make sure he is ok every now n then so get him out of his box, bit threadbare in places now but still just as loveable

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Somewhere is the house is a knitted doll, an elephant and a grey cat that are mine. In recent years my Mum started makingstuffed toys and made an Old English Sheepdog wheich she couldn`t bear to sell! It stays on a chair beside her bed and when she went into hospital in London for a major operation, it went with her in the ambulance that transferred her. The staff at Guys Nuffield "admitted" it with Mum and it still has the ID bracelet on one paw!

i never had anything like that as far as i know lol but my sisters both had little security blankets.

the one had a pillow case that she used to call her silk and she would rub it while sucking her thumb. my mum threw it away once but my sister just substituted it with a bit of a onesie lol she still has it and sleeps with it today much to her husbands disgust lol

the other had a cot blanket that she took everyhere. in the end my nan cut the corner off so it wasnt so bulky lol

I had a rabbit, in fact i still have him. I also have a sewing machine thats about 6 inches tall, doubt it behaved like a proper sewing machine. I also had a dolls bungalow that my mum still has in her loft, can remember thinking, what a bloody waste of time it was

My son has a little white rabbit he takes everywhere and my daughter had an old blanket she used to drag from room to room. I asked my own mother if I had any such comforters as a child and her reply was, "you never needed any. We could leave you gurgling on your own and you'd be quite happy in your own little world." I haven't changed much although the gurgling has improved somewhat.
