The Mandela effect! !

This is a good topic of discussion but I remember darth vader saying " luke I am your father" but other people remember it as " no I am your father " and in field of dreams it was " build it and they will come " but other people think it's " build it and they will come "

The Mandela effect started because some people belive Mandela died in prison but he didn't ! Half the world thinks he did. Some people belive the in a multi universes and they think we are over lapping each other and things are a bit different.

not seen either film. repetition does make something more real, so false info repeated will make something more real.

i can even hear darth vader saying the quote wrongly, so my imagination is filling that in for me as i've never seen the film.

Surely it's because we don't always get our information from source?

So the "play it again Sam" line I've heard in various contexts but I've never seen the film Casablanca. So if I quoted it I would quote wrongly and someone else hearing me would also remember it wrongly.

Occam's razor people. What's more simple - some parallel universe effect on our collective subconscious or just that we don't always learn things from source. It's Chinese whispers.

I am a bit that people even think it's a "thing"!

i can hear darth vader saying the wrong line though.

i think that's what the mandela efect is, that you feel like you experienced something that never happened.

Even James Earl Jones quoted it in an interview as Luke I am your father.

The Forrest Gump one is intriguing too. As is Snow White. My personal demon among them is Interview with the Vampire. I'm sure my DVD case has altered over the years.

There are actually certain ones that have got me. I was raised in a very small town with a big Staples store and there was definitely never a staple on the L. And VW logo, I'm sure that's changed.

Other than that, most of its bollocks.

I know this is an old post and I know you've heard the term!

Now when I first heard about the Mandela effect, I thought of it as nothing more then something to help discredit all "conspiracy theories" with slight changes to their businesses, products and even franchises. However this doesn't explain the changes in historical events. Check out Kennedy Mandela effect!

Im not writing this to be placed on the government kook kooh list, just in a recent conversation this came back up!

So... in Star Wars episode 4: A New Hope, my whole life I have known c3 po to be completely gold! But for some reason he seems to have a sliver leg to my knowledge he has never had a sliver leg!

So I ask has anyone ever seen or know of this? And also what have you seen or experienced where you have to rethink this *Mandela Effect*?
