Cleaning your toys

What do people use?

I clean my own toys by first using a baby wipe then washing them in hot soapy water and drying throughly.

I never share my toys with others but if I did buy a toy to use on a partner then I want to ensure I am equally careful.

Am I doing enough? What do others use?

I never know if I should use a disinfectant but these could cause irritation?

East Sussex

I clean with hot water and liquid soap and rinse thoroughly then leave to air dry. I used a special cleaner a couple of times and it gave me bv, never again.

Depending what your toys are, baby wipes don't always agree with them. Surprisingly harsh, a lot of baby wipes!

Thats what I would be concerned about too.

Think I will stick to what I am doing.

My rule: Never share your toys! It is something I would be concerned about in a gangbang as I don't know how you all keep a eye on whose toy belongs to who!!!! Lol!

Just liquid soap and hot water. The glass ones have been through the dishwasher before but that was just me being exceptionally lazy. I don't share them.

I am careful with vibrators as I don't want to get the battery compartment wet. I assume that wouldn't be a good idea? Sorry for being a bit dim lol

A world of my own

Hot water and soap for me. The beauty of the glass ones is they can go in the dishwasher. Just have to be careful you remember to empty it before the kids do!

Sounds right. I use liquid hand soap.

Note: don't leave to dry on bed and forget about them then invite your friends into your room lol

But I wash them in hot soapy water after using the baby wipe so assume any chemical residue from the baby wipe is removed.

They can probably cope with a splash of water but I try not to get that bit too wet as well! I only worry about cleaning the shaft part as the battery compartment won't be going inside me

Well, I reckon that's totally fine.

Toy companies will sell you 'special' toy cleaning stuff but I don't imagine it's anyway better than what you do..

I'd slip a condom on for anal perhaps? But depends on the toy really, a butt plug doesn't really suit one, niche market there Durex!

I keep my personal toys separate from the " sharing" toy box. Condoms are used on those , and I use a special toy cleaner on all the toys that I buy from love honey. A sanitary spray is used on the leather gloves and other sensation play toys.

glass and metal butt plugs get a good wash with hot soapy water. dildo gets covered with a condom and rubber toys get sprayed then wiped with a hot damp micro fibre cloth

Use once and discard.

Seriously we would suggest wash in warm soapy water as you do but without the baby wipe.

If you share them fit a condom before use but it would be better not to share them or have a seperate toy for each new partner.

If any develop scratches on the surface or cracks dispose of them.

I hope you're joking?

Microwaves don't kill bacteria or viruses, nor fungi for that matter.

Pulse & cocktails sell a toy cleaner / disinfectant spray.

I use this, it keeps them smelling fresh too lol

I'm sure other outlets sell similar
