little house on the praire

My best friend along with a few others did the 26 mile moonwalk through London last night. I was texting her every hour through the night to give her encouragement. Ive only just spoken to her on the phone as shes been sleeping. She said she really struggled and wont do it again. I am so damn proud of her for doing it and the group (about 8 of them) have raised over 5k for breast cancer by doing it

We have a small group here started by another friend of mine, dedicated to raising money for breast cancer. Walks, carboots, dinner, auctions shaking tins ect. I do some of the stuff but never partaken in the pysical activities but now ive lost wait im hoping to. Although what she said about this moonwalk not sure i will be doing that one lol

someone mentoned to me about doing this but after seeing how knackered i am after a bit of walking today i think the words not on you nelly spring to mind

i wouldnt mind doing one of the race for life ones though

Congrats to anyone who raises money. Don't forget your local hospice, I do worry sometimes that the mega-charities overshadow the efforts of small, local charities that help people affected by cancer and other serious illnesses every day. One of the cancer mega-charities thought nothing of spending £100,000 for a website make-over.
