For the ultimate in pop through proof I recommend Izal medicated toilet paper. My grandmother would use nothing else in the outdoor facility. Absorbency was virtually nil and it was about as effective as trying to mop up flood with greaseproof paper but no pop through.

Indeed Izal medicated has always been the premier choice for outhouse usage..

It helps stop the old pipework from blocking..

I use baby wipes, very effective (no pop through) with a clean as a whistle result.

it does that for sure, in both senses of the word. She used to call it the "water closet"
