I remember the car registration my friend's mum had, who used to pick me up from school occasionally. I think it's because my mum made up a rhyme for me to learn it so I didn't get in the wrong car

The thing from TV I remember vividly was the girl and rag doll on the escalator advert. The one where the doll gets caught up. It terrified the life out of me.so much that to this day I can't go anywhere near an escalator.

Newcastle upon Tyne

I remember loads of random stuff from my childhood.

I am brilliant at guess the year questions as most of my life is split into two/three year chunks as we moved around the world so all I have to do is work out where I was living and I have the year.

There was an episode of 999 with Michael Buerke with a house fire that gave me nightmares for months afterwards. That and the one where the girl got her hair caught in the drain in the jacuzzi.

I remember that - plus the tiswaz theme tune and dying fly (I was a tiswaz lassie) - plus random things like being stood up in my cot crying for my dummy (mum didn't believe me until I described the room layout to her years later - I was only one!)

I remember a scene. I must have been about 2 or 3 years old. I'm on my rocking horse, my mum is dusting the mantle piece in my bedroom. It must be morning because I'm bathed with warm spring sunshine. I feel completely content and loved, like the warmth on my skin is the physical manifestation of the emotion. The dust caught in the shafts of light as it glitters and reflects, to my young mind is also evidence of that love and happiness. To this day, with the correct sunshine I can put myself back into that moment.
