If it's actually cystitis you need to get to do or nurse or walk in clinic asap. Only antibiotics will clear it, although loads of water will help if it's just at the first tickle stage.

Having had a LOT of uti in the last few years due to kidney problems, a high dose of cranberry extract taken regularly does really help.

If you are getting recurring water infections then I do suggest you ask your doctor to refer you to see a specialist.

I had a couple of water infections three years ago, and it turned out I had cancer in my left kidney.

Luckily it was operable, caught just in time, and I have made a full recovery. Get it checked!

Glad you made a full recovery..I might just go get checked again although I did have a scan a few years back due to recurrent uti''s and all was OK

I take Cystopurin (or equivalent own brand stuff) - the sachets that you dissolve in water. Always have a box of those in the house just in case and take them on holiday with me. Clears it right it up for me in a day or so. I've never needed antibiotics.

The doctor on the radio said cranberry juice won't do anything unless you drink gallons of it each day.
