It doesn't matter what I do, or how I do it......

I give both of my cats exactly the same food in identical and separate bowls.

Within 10 seconds they've swapped bowls and are eating each others food.

IT'S THE SAME FOOD YOU SILLY FLUFFY BEASTS!!!!!!!!!!!

My dogs do the same and will tear each other to bits for a dropped crum then snuggle up together in 1 bed even though they both have there own

I think it's preference. My two have their own food bowls and I always try give them the same flavour (sometimes sneaky with the tuna) but they almost always swap bowls. I just think they have their days.

My cats do just the same and then swap back again half way through eating. I do wonder if it would be a good idea to just put it all in one big bowl and let them fight over it.

I shall allow the chronologically non sanctioned rant since I miss my cat but that made me smile because they are totally loveable suits.

You are, as always, more than welcome to come and say hello to my furrballs. (Cats, not literally fur balls)

My Own Little World

I have 3 cats and I put their food in one large bowl, they don't fight and take turns with their heads in the bowl. They also aren't allowed to fight over the food, the aggressor gets removed so they learnt pretty early on to share.

Any question that starts 'why?' and has cats as the main protagonists can always be answered thus:

They can.

So they will.

Because they are cats.

And they OWN you.

Our cats all ten of them have a very large singular dish from which they share fed 4 times a day,as for the dogs each has there own bowl but found if you feed them in a circle they can see one another and don't move from bowl of food ,think like a pack leader over a carcass they can all see each other

I wonder how many people thought this would be about cats.
