How many times do you hear the expression about the "best thing since sliced bread"?

Surely there's gotta be a better yardstick than that?

I would also add i prefer mine uncut, well chunky at least, but i know yous lot would take the piss.

The park keeper doesn't like it when you throw a rock hard stale bloomer or tiger loaf at the ducks.... the duck which gets hit by it isnt that keen either.

The best thing about sliced bread is some forum posters will not be in danger of hurting themselves as they are not allowed sharp instruments such as a knife

If toast always lands buttered side up and a cat always lands on its paws, what would happen if you strapped a piece of toast to a cat's back and threw it off a wall?
