Saying sorry with music

It's a true fact that we do things we need to apologise for, and saying sorry is important as well as taking the time to truly understand why the other person was hurting. If you were using a song to proffer your heartfelt apologies to seek forgiveness from the person you have hurt, which song would you use?

I might try Feist ~ So Sorry, or James ~ Getting Away With It All Messed Up or Nirvana ~ All Apologies.

I think I'd rather express my regret in my own words...

I just feel no matter how clumsy my words sounded they would be more sincere than the lyrics of a random song written by someone else....

I completely agreed, but that's less fun for a Fab thread when I'm wanting to hear some music!

Perhaps you are the one being apologised to! What song sums up what someone who wronged you should be saying?

In that case I suggest Eric Idle "Always look on the bright side of life"

I know a song that gets on your nerves, gets on your nerves, gets on your nerves.

I know a song that gets on your nerves and this is how it goes.

I know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves.

The people I'd have to apologise to would know my sense of humour, hopefully smile at the song and we'd all be friends again

There isn't a song written that would apologise sufficiently enough for my sorry's.

It does remind me of a loooong time ago when my first relationship proper broke up. I was a bitch. He made the wise decision to cut me loose. He apologised by way of sending me a beautiful heartfelt rendition of 'Putting Out Fires' by The Bluetones. It was stunning. A really good version. The lyrics adequately described his point of view. He reminded me many years later that I didn't acknowledge it. What a bitch

Bristol

GMF by John Grant is up there as a sorry/not sorry anthem. Plus Sinead O'Connor's backing vocals on it are gurt lush.
