Two part question:

1. has anyone used candles in a travelodge and did they set off the smoke alarm?

2. where can I get candles which drip a reasonable amount of wax? - all mine are non dripping types.

I just used general household ones, tend to drip plenty for my liking. Think the last lot where from wilkinsons. Depends if you want plain or coloured though

put a sock over the fire alarm.

remember to take it down,next morning.

Yes, i've used candles in a Travelodge.

But why would the moans (*) of a woman set off a smoke alarm?

* Mostly of pleasure but it has to be said that the ceiling, in fact room, did need painting.

use a showercap over the smoke detector but as said dont forget to take it down when ur leaving.

go for plain cheep household candles, the beeswax ones and scented ones burn hotter hun

Four candles????? lol

Have used them in Travelodge and no they didnt set off smoke alarms. Get them at the supermarket! Be warned too many when the room is gonna get hot hot hot is not good!
