I know this isn't Facebook

I had a few people asking me for paella and other recipes. Maybe will be easier to have running thread where we share them.

I used the paella mix you buy in a Tin when I was in Majorca .

Is that a done thing for genuine Spanish cooking?

Paella:

Ingredientes

Garlic

Peppers

Meats; pork, chicken, rabbit

Fish:muscles, prawns,squid,clamps

Tin tomatoes

Garden peas or green beans

Stock

Rice

Salt

Oliver oil

Saffron

Rosemary

On a paella pan fry garlic and pepers in olive oil.

Golden meats

Add tin tomatoes until cooked

Add fish and rice

Add broth or water

Add green beans or peas

Add saffron and rosemary

Check if it needs more salt.

Turn the heat down.

Add water as need it

When the rice is nearly cooked. Turn it off and pit foil on top. Let it rest for 15-20min

You can make it only with fish or meat.

Warning. Real paella doesn't have chorizo. EVER

But I love chorizo...

And it's made from pork with red pepper so still fits inside the recipe constraints..

Beef with a spicy sauce, loads of fresh veg (but no mushrooms) noodles and some rice as well

And prawn crackers to go with it

Okay, I won't mention again.. Although death does seem a little extreme..

I won't mention that I had chorizo in paella when last in Cartagena cos that would be wrong of me to do so..
