National Anthems

Just tuned in for the England v Scotland RL game and wondering what people think are the best National Anthems?

I've got a top 3:

1. Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (Wales)

2. Flower of Scotland (Scotland)

3. God Defend New Zealand (New Zealand)

What are everyone else's?

In no particular order and with no allegiance

Wales, Russia, France, Italy ...

Oh, yes, France is a good one too!

I also like God Save The Queen mind, often the only one singing it at the club when Wales play England. Which saddens me.

"Flower of Scotland"

Yes, a lovely song and always sung so passionately. There are many Scots in my village (from the rugby tours, many met and married). So know this very well

Flower of Scotland,

Oh Canada.

Deutschlandlied.

If I'm at an event that involves the playing of God Save The Queen then I have to sing Russell Howards version :,D

"God Save the Queen is one of the most miserable anthems in the world."

It does come across as sombre, but when they sing it at a Last Night of the Proms, they do give it some welly!

And the refrain "whose that?" prior to the "... Proud Edwards Army" part!
