In short - it's complicated

Truth be told there are as many reasons for migration as people migrating to other countries. Sure the economical factor is the biggest one but there are other reasons behind it too. Life's not easy because of our collective mentality of victims of the past. Our government is constantly making bad decisions sucking up to our wealthier "owners" from around the globe. The Catholic church is again getting stronger and not in the positive way even though the same church is responsible for our existence on the map. People are bitter, you don't say cheers pal to your bus driver in fear of getting decked on the spot, you don't have change when it comes to paying for your groceries? Tough shit - you go and get that change somewhere else. The change is coming slowly but it's still not that...

I'm affraid they don't. All the people I've known willing to go back already went there. The rest doesn't want to have anything to do with what's going on down there. The nationalistic tendencies are getting stronger so maybe those people will reclaim the country but when? And what's going to be the price of it?
