I have just laid a new lawn in the back garden, at a cost of £300 and a days work :-$ and it looks great, looked out the window the other day and a bloody squirrel was digging a hole in it to bury his food for winter storage if he keeps this up it's going to spoil the lawn, How do I stop the fury little ba***rd ???

Astroturf? Or build a squirrel agility course with free nuts as the prize. Keep you entertained watching the little bugger.

Sonic repellent? Certainly works with cats and foxes (all cat poo disappeared from our garden after we installed one) - not sure if it works on squirrels.

I'd like the details of your device as an older lady I help has major problems.

I think the secret with the squirrels may be to deter or eradicate. Once caught they cannot legally be released as they're vermin.

Borrow a dog - but maybe keep it off the turf.

Tie a walnut to a lit firework.

(If you don't want to be too cruel, fit the squirrel with a little parachute first.)

Look at the squirrel as a part of your garden. It's just a nut, in a hole, after all

The one I use was from Robert Dyas, sonic repeller, cost about £29.99 I think.

We tried all sorts previously, pepper spray, citrus sticks etc but this actually worked.

The only trouble is it eats batteries so can be expensive to keep replacing them.

Dig up the nuts afterwards and replace them with chilli peppers and laxatives.

Betting it will only cime back the once.
