Does anyone feel slightly guilty if they take another supermarkets carrier bag when you do your shopping?

Does it get frowned upon if you walk into Tesco with a sainsbury bag?

I walk out of LIDL with my hands full of filled Waitrose bags. There's your own rep' to consider.

Nope. I'm not going to rummage through all my bags to make sure I have the ones that match the store.

Why should you feel guilty most people shop around and besides the checkout staff don't care they are more bothered about getting to finishing time and clocking off.

Hah, snap! My Waitrose and M&S bags are all I'll take with me to Tesco. Not that I actually have a reputation to consider.

I can fully support this statement, as much as I love Sainsbury's their carrier bags are awfully weak!

Not the checkout staff at my local tesco....they are more bothered about what John on butchery has been up to with Lynn from cosmetics...

Exactly, if you try to put a 2L bottle of juice in it, you will be paranoid for the rest of the walk home it will rip. That's why I always carry my racksack when I go shopping

The reason the rule was introduced was to encourage reusing carrier bags. There's no rule stating it had to be store specific.

i don't, it's only a bag. plus the supermarkets need to be reminded they have competition.

my mum used to turn her bags inside out so she wasn't advertising the shops she had just bought from.

We have one from each supermarket

Mrs ddc refuses to follow my practice of putting veg in the one with the picture of the veg, bakery items in the one with the picture of the bread... etc.

She's a little minx like that

Mr ddc

The Town by The Cross

I feel a little fraudulent pulling out my Fortnum and Masons when i'm in Harrods. The sound of the staff sniffing at me is almost too much to bear.

I don't do it. I usually take my own and don't need extras.

Is this seriously something that people worry about?

Someone totally misread the OP

Answering the actual question, I take a selection of bags to whichever shop I happen to be shopping in.

Tomorrow I will be taking Asda, Co-op and Lidl bags to Morrisons.
